Speaker-April 2022

SOUTH ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA GENEALOGICAL SOCIETY

 April 16, 2022

 “Using Fold3.com”

Presented by: Christine Cohen

The website Fold3.com, in a partnership with the U.S. National Archives, provides a wealth of military resources and documents for veterans from the Revolutionary War of 1776, the War of 1812, Mexican-American and early Indian Wars, Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, Korean War and Vietnam War. The Fold3 name comes from a traditional flag folding ceremony in which the third fold is made in honor and remembrance of veterans who served in defense of their country and to maintain peace throughout the world. Join us as Christine Cohen shows us how to use Fold3 to research the military records, stories, photos, and personal documents of our ancestors who served our country.

About the speaker: Christine Cohen is a long-time member of the Whittier Area Genealogical Society (WAGS), and has served in many capacities, including President.
